Charlotte Manhole Rehab

This project consisted of replacing brick manholes with precast manholes on trunk interceptor lines that ranged from 8 inches to 54 inches in diameter.

After the upper part of the brick manhole is demolished, a precast manhole with a watertight frame and cover is set on teh remaining brick base section. The remaining part of the brick manhole is sprayed with a calcium aluminate cementious coating to seal the bottom portion after the precast section is installed. This ensures the manhole is watertight.
