Pipebursting is the only way to replace an existing pipe with an identical or larger one while minimizing excavation. It saves money, time and it's environmentally friendly.
A winch pulls the pipebursting head with the new pipe attached through the old line. Debris from the old pipe remain in the ground as a stabilizer. The soil absorbs vibrations from the pneumatic heads, so nearby utilities are not disturbed.
Pipebursting is an efficient way to replace water, gas, sewer and production lines without disturbing the ground above.
Benefits of pipebursting:
Allows upsizing or size-for-size replacement
Costs a fraction of other methods
Accommodates a wide variety of replacement materials
Is safer and less traumatic to the surrounding area
